Sometimes I receive a very clear and personal brief. This commission required a vintage style engagement ring with a stunning centre focus, on a very good colour, clarity & cut of diamond and an accent of emerald in a platinum setting. Keeping all these factors in mind, my designs took the brief literally to another level with the centre diamond raised prominently above the detail of the navette shaped settings.
My client was delighted with the design concept, realised on CAD (Computer Aided Design) especially the millegrained setting edges to the navettes which created a vintage look. The brilliant cut G/VS2 diamond on an ‘Excellent’ GIA certificate provided the perfect solution for the centre stone. An additional challenge was to find a pair of emeralds 1.3mm each that could be set in between the two navette shapes that would be bright and visible! I sourced some very bright diamond cut emeralds which I managed to set between the navettes.
Result: one very happy client!
